music: “American Soldier” by Toby Keith (Wait for him to sing the first verse of 32 counts, then start the dance on the word “do” of the line “I don’t do it for the money”.  Listening Tip:  You will be counting in 5,6,7,8 starting with “5” on the word “Head” of the line “Head down to my boots”.)

 WALK FORWARD 4, 2 SYNCOPATED TWINKLES MOVING BACK

1-4     Step forward Right, Left, Right, Left (walk with pride).
5&6   Step Right foot across in front of Left (allow body to turn slightly left so that this       step will start you traveling back to where you started (5), Step Left foot to Left side (&), Step Right foot to Right side, slightly back (6).
7&8   Step Left foot across in front of Right (allow body to turn slightly Right to continue moving back to where you started (7), Step Right foot to Right side (&), Step Left foot to Left side (8).

JAZZ BOX, WEAVE RIGHT, CROSS BACK, UNWIND ½ RIGHT

1-2     Step Right foot across in front of Left (1), Step back with Left foot (2).
3-4     Step Right foot to Right side (3), Step Left foot across in front of Right (4).
5-6     Step Right foot to Right side (5), Step Left foot crossed behind Right (6).
7-8      Sweep Right toe around Right side, place ball of Right foot crossed tightly behind Left (7)
           Keeping feet where they are, unwind Right 1/2 turn, end with weight on Right foot (8)

1-2     Step Left foot across in front of Right (1), Step Right foot to Right side (2).
3&4   Step Left foot crossed behind Right (3), Step ball of Right foot to Right
         side (&), Step Left foot in place, slightly forward to be under body (4).
5-6    Step Right foot across in front of Left (5), Step Left foot to Left side (6).
7&8   Step Right foot crossed behind Left (7), Step ball of Left foot to Left
         side (&), Step Right foot in place, slightly forward to be under body (8).

CROSS, SIDE, SYNCOPATED CHASSE RIGHT TWICE, ROCK & TURN

1-2            Step Left foot across in front of Right (1), Step Right foot to Right side (2)

3&4   Hold (3), Step together with Left foot (&), Step Right foot to Right side (4)

5&6   Hold (5), Step together with Left foot (&), Step Right foot to Right side (6)

7&8   Rock Left foot across in front of Right (7), Replace weight back to Right foot (&), Turn ¼ Left, Step forward with Left foot (8).

 Start again from the beginning.
